Cover Story Artwork

I had the opportunity to design a custom lettering piece for the Fall 2022 cover story of UCLA Magazine, titled “This Magic Moment.” The story celebrates the journeys of eight incoming students as they begin their UCLA experience, capturing the excitement, vulnerability, and optimism of this pivotal transition.

My artwork was inspired by the students stories, and aimed to reflect the energy and emotional tone of the feature.

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) recognized this issue with a Silver CASE Circle of Excellence Award.
